SWEDEN — The Sweden Food Pantry has been allocated a $700 Matching Challenge Grant by the Good Shepherd Food-Bank. To raise funds, the food pantry will host a yard sale and a “Night on the Town Raffle” on Saturday, May 24.

Raffle tickets are $15 each and only 50 tickets will be sold. First prize is a $75 gift certificate to the Black Horse Tavern in Brighton and second prize is a $75 gift certificate to the Olde Mill Tavern in Harrison.

The third prize is two tickets to any one of the July-August performances of the Sebago Long Lake Music Festival at Deertrees Threatre, valued at $50 and fourth prize is two tickets to any of the three plays being planned at Deertrees Theatre, valued at $50.

The yard sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sweden Town Meeting House across the street from the Sweden Community Church on Route 93.

The pantry has been designated to provide food to eligible families from the towns of Waterford, Stoneham, Lovell, Stow and Sweden by the Good Shepherd Food Bank. The pantry is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
