DIXFIELD — The following arrests were logged by the Police Department:
Charges
* Natasha Kaufmann, 19, Dixfield, warrant charging failure to appear in South Paris District Court on charges of consuming liquor by a minor and theft, 7:45 p.m. May 18 on Main Street. She was taken to Oxford County Jail in Paris.
* Sherry Stallings, 45, Dixfield, warrant charging failure to appear on a charge of attaching false plates, 4:45 p.m. May 9 on Bryant Street. She was taken to Oxford County Jail.
Accidents
* A Rumford woman complained of back pain but declined medical treatment after failing to negotiate her motorcycle on a curve on Route 2 in Dixfield on May 13.
Dixfield police Lt. Jeff Howe said Thursday morning that Rhonda Hebert, 50, was riding east behind her husband at 5:15 p.m. when the accident happened. He said the 2007 Yamaha motorcycle went off the road and into a ditch.
“There was significant scuffing on her helmet, so it could have been much worse if she wasn’t wearing a helmet,” Howe said.
Howe said driver inexperience contributed to the accident. Hebert is a new motorcycle rider, he said. The bike had a few thousand dollars damage.
