RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society is making its final arrangements for its major fund-raising activity of the year: the Annual Yard Sale. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Society’s Lufkin School Museum in Rumford Center. Rain date is set for Saturday, June 14, same time and place.

Those wishing to donate items to the sale can deliver their items to the museum from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, June 3. The Society asks that all items have a price affixed to the objects. No clothing is accepted.

As in the past, the sale will feature the plants from the greenhouse and gardens of Nghia Ha and the delicious food donations by members. Mr. Ray Barker’s red hot dogs, accompanied by his special home-made relishes, will be available for purchase.

Thanks to the kind donations of several people who have moved from the area, numerous household items and small furniture will be available this year.

The museum will be open for those interested in the historical artifacts of the Rumford area.
