Series to focus on magnesium
LEWISTON — The summer herb series at The Ark, 791 Lisbon St., will focus on “Magnificent Magnesium” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 9.
About 80 percent of Americans are deficient in the mineral. Cancer is more prevalent in those who are magnesium deficient and so is heart disease mortality. Magnesium is a powerful infection fighter and magnesium supplementation is essential for Lyme disease patients. Those attending will take home another plant for the herb garden.

The Ark to hold budget talk
LEWISTON — The Ark will hold a session on “Making a Budget That Works,” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10. Participants are invited to bring their income and expense information.
There is no fee and no registration is required.

Community blood drive
