1919 – 2014

AUBURN — Florence R. Webber of Auburn went to be with her Lord and loving husband on Thursday, June 5, at the Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born Oct. 6, 1919, in Lewiston to Adelard and Yvonne Daigneault Gousse. She spent most of her younger years in Danville, but more recently was a resident at the Schooner Estates in Auburn. Florence graduated from Edward Little High School in 1937.

On Sept. 30, 1944, she married the love of her life, Erwin C. Webber. They were married 56 years. Together they raised three daughters, Pam, Debbie and Tina.

Florence was an 80-year member of Danville Jct. Grange, the Maine State Grange, Robin Dow Seniors and New Auburn Seniors.

She is survived by her three daughters, Pam Carrier of Sabattus, Debbie and husband, Jerome Cyr, of Monmouth, and Tina and husband, Marcel Robert, of Greene; a brother, Leo and wife, Shirley Gousse, of Freeport; six grandchildren, Shawn and wife, Dee Dee Landry, of Auburn, Shannon and husband, George Allen Jr., of Lisbon Falls, Jill and husband, Scott Wilcox, of Brewer, Jason and wife, Angela Cyr, of Windham, Scott Robert of Greene, and Ray and wife, Sarah Robert, of China; 14 great-grandchildren, Justin and Paige Landry, Ricky and Emily Allen, Collin and Connor Wilcox, Chloe, Daphne and Nolan Cyr, and Nathan, Ashley, Jack, Sam and Blake Robert.

She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Erwin; a brother and sister in-law, Roland and Beatrice Gousse; and a son-in-law, Normand A. Carrier.

The family wishes to thank all the wonderful staff at the Schooner Estates for taking special care of our mother for the past three years. You have become a special part of our family. Thanks also to the wonderful staff at Hospice House in Auburn.
