Lunch, yard sale swap planned

OTISFIELD — A free (donations accepted) community lunch and yard sale swap, will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Community Hall, Route 121.

Menu includes chicken a la king, biscuits, peas, salads, gingerbread, coffee, tea, water.

To arrange a ride, call Nancy Coombs at 627-4374. To help, call Dave McVety at 539-4368.

Bring a friend and bring something you no longer want but may please someone else.

The event is put on by Otisfield Social Outreach Committee and sponsored by Town of Otisfield.

Lewiston Bridge Club winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on June 9th were as follows: first, Jeannine Kivus and David Lock; second, Nancy Lindgren and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Jan and Vern Arey; fourth, Mary Trafton and Luke Merry; fifth, Patricia and Mike Quinn; first in B, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; second in B, first in C, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; third in B, second in C, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin.

Winners on June 10 were: first, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; second, Kay Bagwell and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; fourth, Richard Balian and Fred Letourneau; first in B and C, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second in B and C, Donna Bartlett and Sue Kaluzynski.

Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for more information.

Jones Band to play for dances

PARIS — A dance with music by the Jones Dance Band will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturdays, June 21 and 28, at the American Legion Hall, Church Street. Cost is $5.
