‘Famous’ chicken pie supper

BOLSTERS MILLS — Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church will serve its “famous” chicken pie supper on Saturday, June 21. Seatings are at 5 and 6 p.m. A third seating will follow as needed.

Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children under the age of 12.

The building is handicap accessible and air conditioned.

Supper includes chicken pie, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, rolls, homemade dessert and beverages.

Program: History of vintage aprons

HEBRON — Norma Salway and Dotti Adams will present a “History of Vintage Aprons” including a huge collection on display at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the Town Office, 351 Paris Road.

The public is invited to this Hebron Historical Society event.

Attendees are urged to bring special aprons they may have.

SeniorsPlus seeking volunteers

LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus is looking for volunteers in Oxford County to serve in their communities as a Medicare counselor. If you like numbers, research and want to make a difference in people’s lives, this opportunity is for you.

SeniorsPlus needs volunteers to meet with Medicare beneficiaries one on one to assist in Medicare enrollment, changing plans and understanding the basics of Medicare; as well as speaking to groups to help educate them about Medicare basics.

Seminar on living gluten-free

GREENWOOD — A “Living Gluten-Free” seminar will be offered by Suzanne Dunham from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 28, at Dunham Farm.

This program is for people who have been newly diagnosed with celiac disease/gluten intolerance, or other health issues that going gluten-free may help, and for family and friends of those who are gluten intolerant. It will include the basics, digestive issues and cross contamination.

The Dunhams operate a licensed commercial kitchen that is a dedicated gluten-free facility. Suzanne and her husband, Brian, are also beekeepers and process maple for syrup and other products.

Hartford Heritage Society & Museum

HARTFORD — Hartford Heritage Society & Museum, on Route 140, will hold a yard sale on June 28 and 29, and a car show on Aug. 31.

The museum will be open every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. during July and August.
