WILTON — The Recreation Department will offer free lunches to children ages 18 and under this summer starting Monday, June 30. The meals will continue through Aug. 7.

This is the second year the Recreation Department will be running the program.

Lunches are available from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Kineowatha Park. They must be eaten on the premises.

There are no income guidelines or other restrictions. Adults may purchase a lunch for $3.

The Summer Meals Program is part of the Summer Food Service Program through Feed America, a program of the Department of Education and U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Cheryl Ellis, Regional School Unit 9 food/nutrition coordinator, will manage the program and lunches will be made by RSU 9 staff.
