LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating break-ins at two buildings where copper piping was stolen.
Sgt. Vern Stevens received the first report at 11:30 a.m. Saturday for an abandoned building on Sewall Street that was broken into and copper pipes taken, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Monday. The value of the pipes is estimated at about about $300.
Stevens is also investigating a second call received at approximately 9:30 a.m. Sunday, where a vacant building on Wheeler Street had copper pipes taken out, he said. The owner of the building is working on an estimate of the loss.
