1956 – 2014
STRATTON — June Kay Howard, 58, of Stratton passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, July 4.
She was born June 12, 1956, in Lewiston, the daughter of Herbert and Frances Howard. She graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1974. June worked as a waitress for many years in Florida and Maine before working for Verizon Telephone, retiring due to ill health in 1995.
In April 2013, she married Roger Morrill in Bristol, Conn.
She enjoyed cooking, camping, traveling around the world, her dog, Rosco, and spending time with her sisters. June did everything to please others, especially her dear husband, Roger. She touched many people in her life and influenced them in positive ways.
June is survived by her husband, Roger; her daughter, Katie Fritts of Portland; her son, Allen H. Fritts and companion, Brianna, and their daughter, Emma, all of Kentucky; sisters, JoAnne H. Badger and husband, Terry, of Turner, Marilee H. Shaw and husband, Robert, of Danville Junction and Gloria H. Goddard and husband, Bruce, of Auburn; a special sister-in-law, Althea Curtis, and her husband, Rickie, of Conn.; nieces and nephews, Sheri and Scott Badger, Lori Motto, Missi Boyd, Charles Fortier, Debbie Shaw, Jennifer Crowell, and Wendy Taylor; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
