Firefighters believe that an electrical problem caused a forklift to ignite at the New England Public Warehouse at 164 Pine St. in South Paris over the weekend. According to Paris fire Chief Brad Frost, firefighters doused the forklift after it caught fire shortly after midnight on Saturday. Aided by the building’s sprinkler system, crews had the fire extinguished and had cleared out smoke by 1:30 a.m., Frost said. The 233,000-square foot warehouse stores a variety of materials.
