RUMFORD — Selectmen Chairman Greg Buccina listed three options for a General Assistance budget during Wednesday evening’s public hearing.

Voters will go to the polls at the Rumford Falls Auditorium on July 22 to choose among the proposals. They are:

* To raise and appropriate $65,000 and appropriate all revenues and reimbursements received by the town designated for General Assistance, as recommended by selectmen.

* To raise and appropriate $70,000 and appropriate $50,000 from available funds for a total budget of $120,000, including the appropriation of all revenues designated for General Assistance, as recommended by the Finance Committee.

* Neither option.

During their June 19 meeting, selectmen unanimously approved a revised General Assistance budget of $65,000, a $28,406 decrease from their initial proposal of $93,406 that voters defeated June 10 at the town meeting referendum.
