FREEPORT — Maine humor is just plain fun. It’s a dry self-deprecating view of life and this Northern New England State. The Downeast Hysterical Society will bring their Maine comedy variety show consisting of novelty songs, hilarious Maine characters and the most hysterical sketches to the Theater Of Awesome at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 17 and 18.

The performers, Randy Judkins and Barney Martin, spin the many funny and unique things about Maine and Mainers, most notably their unusual, regional accent. The humor is often quite simple and straight-forward and reveals an inner wisdom with historical roots going back generations.
