WEST PARIS — Joyce R. Ladd, 78, of Martin Road in Rumford, died Saturday, July 19, at the Ledgeview Living Center.
She was born in Rumford on March 23, 1936, a daughter of Samuel and Ida Mae Raye, and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Class of 1956.
Joyce enjoyed shopping at Walmart and loved spending time with her family, especially at Christmas time.
She was married at Rumford Point on July 1, 1956, to Arthur J. Ladd Sr. who survives her, of Rumford. Other survivors include daughters, Rhonda Elliott and companion, Charles Brown, of Rumford Point, and Mary Ladd Lyons and husband, Thomas, of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Shelley Elliott of Rumford, Ashley Kensell of Augusta, Chantel Diotte of Jacksonville, Fla., Samantha Purcell of Indiana, Chloe Brown of Rumford Point and Nicholas and David Lyons of Jacksonville, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Abby, Logan, Gena, Malachi, Brooke, Blake and Cora; a sister, Marjorie “Boots” Milligan, of Miami, Fla.; a special niece, Dorothy Janace, of Rumford; and a special nephew, Raymond Anctil, of Massachusetts.
