Those who doubt that Gov. Paul LePage discredits the entire state of Maine and all of its citizens should review newspaper articles and editorials that reveal:
• The governor stated that a Democratic leader, “… claims to be for the people, but he’s the first one to give it to the people without providing Vaseline,” and said the legislator “… had no brains.”
• LePage refused to speak at the NAACP’s Martin Luther King day observance and said to reporters: “Tell them to kiss my butt …”
• Re: the discredited report to study the state’s Medicaid system for $1 million, the Sun Journal reported that “… it was a mistake from the start.” LePage is now attempting to get $500,000 back from the Republican operative.
• The Sun Journal editorialized that LePage “… has been a walking font of misinformation and incivility for three years.”
• Lastly, LePage pays property taxes to Florida, and not in Maine.
