The two-week theater camp focuses on developing performance material from familiar stories. Actors complete physical exercises and learn mime, verbal and improvisational skills which they use to develop the show.

“It will be fast paced and fun,” said Miller. “The kids have worked and played hard, learned a lot, and brought their wit and energy to the task. They’ve been great to work with.”

Meghan McGuire has just completed her freshman year at Denison University where she plans to focus on theater. Maddy Whittemore will be a senior at Yarmouth High School where she is active in the theater program. She and McGuire have also been active in The Theater Project’s Young Company.

Performance times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. All tickets are Pay-What-You-Want, available online at theaterproject.com or by calling 207-729-8584. The Theater Project is at 14 School Street.
