AUBURN — The Green Wood Gallery, the newest fine art gallery in Lewiston-Auburn, at 998 Old Danville Road, Auburn, will hold its grand opening at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, with a ribbon cutting ceremony sponsored by the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce. Light refreshments will be served.
The grand opening exhibit will highlight the works of registered Maine artist Anita Poulin, whose scenic landscapes depict the magic of Maine’s four seasons. The artist, who is Franco-American with American Indian heritage, comes from a family of self-taught artists. She has been painting for more than 40 years and teaching art locally for the past 25 years in her home studio. She also has conducted workshops in Auburn, Oxford and Lewiston, and has taught classes at Schooner Estates and at USM LA Senior College.
The Green Wood Gallery is owned by the artist and is an affiliate of AP Graphics & Fine Arts of Auburn.
