LIVERMORE — Selectpersons gave permission Monday to have overgrown bushes cut back at the Livermore Veterans Memorial at the corner of Route 4 and Church Street.

Tim Cox, chairman of the Cemetery Committee, told the board that the junipers and cedar bushes need to be cut back.

“It needs to be done bad,” he said. “It is really overgrown.”

There is money available in the brush account of the cemetery budget, he said.

The board voted to allow Cox to use some of the money in the account to do the work.

Cox also brought up that a couple of the town’s flags on flagpoles are not lit up and need to be, he said. The flags are located at the memorial and the Town Office. He would like to see the town go with solar lights for the lighting.

The cost of the solar lights will be researched.
