1936 – 2014

RUMFORD — Hilda A. Rouleau, 78, of Raymond Street in Rumford, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 2, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Mexico on Jan. 7, 1936, a daughter of Desire J. and Evelyn E. (Strout) Duguay. Hilda was educated in Mexico schools.

She was employed at Diamond Match for several years and Wyeth Laboratories in Pennsylvania for 21 years. Hilda lived in Pennsylvania for many years and returned to Birch Street in Dixfield in 1998.

She loved dancing with her companion, Tom, and was dancing right up until about two weeks ago. Hilda also loved traveling with her brother, Thurl and his wife, Joan, and spending time with family in North Carolina.

Surviving are her companion and dance partner, Thomas Abraham, of Auburn; and four brothers, Robert M. Duguay and wife, Gertrude, of Carthage, N.C., Thurl Duguay and wife, Joan, of Rumford, Kenneth E. Duguay of Rumford and Ray Duguay and wife, Jackie, of Mexico; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Ray Rouleau; sister, Theresa Lorraine Buck; and brothers, Joseph Desire, Pearley Duguay and Lewis Duguay.

The family would like to thank Dr. Nicholette Erickson, Dr. Dieter Kreckel and the nurses from Androscoggin Home Health for all of their help and support.
