1967 – 2014

RUMFORD — Michele M. Gravel, 47, died Saturday, Aug. 2, at Rumford Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Congress Street in Rumford.

Born in Rumford on March 26, 1967, she was a daughter of John and Ethel Mae (Worthley) Gravel, and was raised in Mexico by Bert and Ethel Jamison. She was a graduate of Mexico High School.

She worked as a certified nursing assistant for Dixfield Nursing Home and the Cozy Inn in Rumford. She also worked at Food City in Mexico and other retail establishments.

She loved spending time with family, playing bingo and singing karaoke.

Survivors include her father, Bert Jamison, of Rockwood; a brother, Paul Gravel and his wife, Kim, of Mexico; a sister, Deborah Gravel, of Rumford; stepbrother, Jeffrey Jamison, of Carthage; three stepsisters, Margaret Montoya of Turner, Debra Blaisdell of Norridgewock and Danielle Jamison of Rockwood; many nieces and nephews; and her cat, Andy.

She was predeceased by her father, John Gravel; her mother, Ethel Jamison; her brother, John Gravel; a stepbrother, Bertram Jamsion Jr.; maternal grandparents, Alton and Pauline Worthley; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Dora Gravel; and very special aunts, uncles and cousins.
