Batista Salvadore “Tony” Passalaqua was recognized recently for his dedication to the Central Maine Medical Center Health and Fitness Center, where he volunteers five days a week and even stops by on Saturdays to make sure all is well. Passalaqua also volunteers for the Veterans Administration by driving local veterans to Togus VA Hospital every Wednesday. While waiting for the VA patients to see care providers, he drives the Togus parking lot shuttle. Passalaqua has given over 6,000 hours of service to CMMC since 2008. CMMC has some 220 volunteers who donate more than 60,000 hours annually.
