LEEDS — The V.A. Deane Jr. High School, of Leeds, Class of 1963 held their 51st class reunion on July 27. The classes of ’63 were invited to join Capt. Paul Melanson, a classmate, on his Grandbanks motor yacht, called “The Shenandoah.” He was accompanied by “Gilligan” Mark Melanson, first mate.

During the cruise, attendees anchored at Jewels Island, had a lunch along with laughter and hours of conversation. Later that afternoon they returned to dock and all classmates had dinner at the Dolphin Marina, followed by a surprise birthday cake for Capt. Paul.

Two of the classmates made long journeys for the reunion, one from Tennessee and the other from Arizona.

Regretfully organizers were unable to locate all of the classmates. If you would like to be contacted to be part of the next reunion, email Mike at mjolicoeur01@msn.com or Martha at meadowhawk@fairpoint.net.
