1917 – 2014

LEWISTON—Anna C. Tardif, 97, formerly of  Elliot Avenue, died Thursday, Aug. 7,  at Marshwood Center with her son by her side. She resided at Marshwood Center for the past two years.

Born in Lewiston on Jan. 16, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lorenza Labonte Albert.

Anna was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to Oscar Tardif, who died in 1981. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and worked at Lown Shoe Co. prior to her retirement. Anna enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.

She is survived by her son, Roger Tardif, of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Antoinette Gagne and Lorette Nadeau; and her brother, Antonio Albert.
