This is in response to an article in the Sun Journal on Aug. 3 that stated, “The U.S. has spent more money rebuilding Afghanistan than it spent on rebuilding the entire continent of Europe after World War II.”
Another paragraph could have been added, stating that, “thanks to Congress, the U.S. spent more on rebuilding Afghanistan than it spent rebuilding the infrastructure of the entire U.S. in 2013 and in the first eight months of 2014 combined.”
