At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, rain or shine, “Music for Mavis” will present Tuesdays at the Gazebo featuring Portland’s
. The Ensemble’s repertoire draws from the joyful and moving traditional and contemporary music of Zimbabwe. Musicians are Rob Cimitile, Chris Fletcher, Elliot Heeschen, Peter Himmer, Zebulon Kelley, Matthew Wasowski, builder of the marimbas, Jacob Wolff, and Kevin Caron. Suggested donations are $5 per person. Bring something to sit on. In case of rain, the concert will take place at the Turner Center Library.
