BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Arts Council will hold free concerts at 4 p.m. every Sunday for the rest of the month at Bethel Common Bandstand, according to a news release from the council.

The free bandstand concerts began on Aug. 3 with a performance by local artists Donnie Katlin and Jewel Clark, followed the next two Sundays with performances from Bethel musician Conni St. Pierre and Western Maine music group Just Us Two.

The free bandstand concerts will continue on Aug. 24 and 31 with performances by Abbie Goldberg and Amalia Siegel, and Paul Dube and Ellen Lindsey, respectively.

Goldberg and Siegel are Gould Academy graduates who perform bluegrass music throughout Western Maine. They have previously performed at the Bethel Annual Art Walk and the Bethel Art Fair.

Dube, who sings and plays guitar, and Lindsey, who plays the upright bass fiddle, will perform under the moniker “Paul and Ellen.” They have performed together throughout New England and internationally for more than 50 years as a duo and in other bands. They’re known as “regulars in the Western Maine open-mic scene and perform every year for regional fairs and festivals,” the release said
