1958 – 2014

JAY — Roys Martin Stanley, 55, of Jay, died Monday morning, July 7, at his home in Jay, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Farmington on Nov. 2, 1958, a son of Dean Edward and Hannah (Tilton) Stanley.

Roys enjoyed participating in the summer and winter Special Olympics, swimming, fishing, bowling and helping his brothers, Ron and Dwight, with their work on the farm. He was also an active member of Work First in Farmington.

He is survived by his mother, Hannah Stanley, of Jay; a brother, Dwight Stanley and his wife, Dolores, of Jay; a stepsister, Gail Eastman, of West Sumner; a stepbrother, Richard Starbird, of Dryden; a sister-in-law, Patricia Stanley, of Washington Plantation; aunts, Geraldine Davis and her husband, Clarence, and Barbara Morse; special cousins, Mike Trask, Milford Wyman and Marilyn Morse; and a special caregiver, Becki Lee.

He was predeceased by his father, Dean Stanley; a brother, Ron Stanley; and sister, Bonnie Stanley.
