WILTON — Police have recovered almost all of the jewelry taken from a Cameron Street residence Friday, according to police Chief Heidi Wilcox.

A tenant in an apartment building on the street discovered jewelry worth several thousand dollars was missing when she came home from work Friday night, Wilcox said. Someone had gone into the tenant’s apartment through a window during the day, Wilcox said.

Along with the jewelry, some household items, including candles, matches and food, were missing.

The case is under investigation, she said Tuesday.
