STANDISH — Auditions for “A Christmas Story” will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 and Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Schoolhouse Arts Center. Michael Hjort will direct and performances will be held from Dec. 5-21.
Parts include roles for two adult females, two adult males, seven or more children of varying ages and genders. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
“A Christmas Story,” based on the book written by Jean Shepherd, and adapted by Philip Grecian, is a delightful story of 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. The consistent response is “You’ll shoot your eye out.”
Schoolhouse Arts Center is at 16 Richville Road, Route 114. Call 207-642-3743 or email [email protected] for more information.
