LEWISTON — The Public Theatre  is looking for volunteers for its upcoming season and will hold an open house from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, for anyone interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities.

The Public Theatre is currently seeking volunteers to hang posters on various poster routes in Auburn, Falmouth/Yarmouth, Greene/Leeds, Poland/Poland Spring, Portland and Sabattus. Each poster route person will receive one or two free tickets to each production they poster (depending on the number of posters hung per route). Posters must be hung by a requested date. Posters will be hung in early October, November, January, late February and April.

Other volunteer opportunities at The Public Theatre include ushering throughout the season, working on the bulk mailing committee, working as a backstage crew member, joining The Father-Daughter Valentine Ball Committee which puts on the theatre’s famous Father-Daughter dance in February or participating on the Silent Auction Committee in the spring.

The theater is at 31 Maple St. For more information or to RSVP a spot at the open house, call 207-782-2211 or email info@thepublictheatre.org.
