RUMFORD — The Board of Selectmen will address a lengthy agenda during its meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, in the Rumford Falls Auditorium.

Among the items to be discussed at the selectmen’s meeting includes a request for signage on Knox Street to allow funeral parking near Holy Savior Church.

The board voted during its Sept. 4 meeting to table discussion on the matter to allow the Fire Department to determine if its ladder truck could safely fit between parked cars along both sides of the street.

Town Manager John Madigan said that in the past residents have complained that funeral attendees at the church block their driveways.

Police Chief Stacy Carter pointed out at the Sept. 4 meeting that there are four parking spots by the church, two handicap spots and two parking spaces between each driveway.
