I am writing in support of Jared Golden for Maine state Representative.
Golden will fight hard for the people of Lewiston, just like he fought for this country in Afghanistan and Iraq.
When he returned from Iraq, he lived with my wife and me. We watched him work hard as he transitioned from combat Marine to civilian, and he held down three jobs to make ends meet. He understands, through personal experience, the challenges that hardworking families face.
One of the best qualities about him is that he never gives up. Instead of giving in to difficulty, he worked his way through Bates College and graduated with degrees in politics and history.
He later worked as a legislative aide in the U.S. Senate and the Maine State House. He is experienced, hardworking and dedicated to serving this community.
I hope others will join me in voting for Jared Golden.
