LIVERMORE FALLS — The Planning Board approved a site-plan review application last week for an antique and used household goods store on the main floor of the former Riverview Pub on Depot Street, Code Enforcement Officer James Butler Jr. said Monday.

Wes Bowen, who has a post office box in Livermore Falls, owns the building where The Little Emporium is located.

Bowen filled out the application in July, but the Planning Board did not hold meetings during the summer.

The board directed Bowen to contact the Office of the Maine State Fire Marshal about his plan to put a lounge in the basement of the same building.

The board did discuss the proposal.

Before moving forward on the application, the board wanted to make sure Bowen met with the state inspectors to make sure the proposal is feasible under the state’s standards, Butler said.

Bowen proposes to convert the basement floor to a lounge. The name and the hours were not known when the application was submitted, according to the document. The gross floor area proposed to be developed is 2,500 feet.
