GARDINER (AP) — Police said a man has died from injuries he suffered when his motorcycle crashed into another driven by his wife.
The Morning Sentinel reported 50-year-old Gardiner resident Kenneth Black died early Monday afternoon at Central Maine Medical Center. He was hospitalized on Sunday evening when he and his wife crashed motorcycles on Mills Road in Whitefield.
Forty-seven-year-old Laurie Black suffered head and knee pain but declined to go to the hospital. Police say the couple slowed to avoid an injured deer in the road when the animal moved into their path. Police said Kenneth Black lost control of his motorcycle, hit the deer, and hit his wife’s motorcycle.
Police say neither Black was wearing a helmet. Deputies are still investigating the crash.
