WALDOBORO (AP) — Police have arrested a Lincoln County woman they say was behind a large-scale cocaine trafficking operation.

Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested 41-year-old Regina Bowman at her Waldoboro home on Wednesday evening.

After obtaining a search warrant, drug agents went to her home and seized 17 grams of cocaine, $3,000 in suspected drug proceeds, scales, cutting agents and packaging materials.

Bowman was charged with cocaine trafficking and taken to the Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.

McCausland said law enforcement agents have been investigating Bowman’s cocaine distribution activities for two months.
