RUMFORD — The third annual Rumford Pumpkin Fest will take place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, in Downtown Rumford.

New this year will be the lighting of the pumpkins. Carve a pumpkin at the fest, or bring yours from home and light the whole stage up.

The display will begin at 7 p.m. The $1 cost to enter the carving contest includes a candle and a live band with dancing in the street. Shawna & the Mayberry Drifters will play oldies and rock.

There will also be vendors, events, contests, games, raffle, auctions, kids fun, food, beer tent and lots more planned throughout the whole day.

Everyone is encouraged to come to the festival and carve a pumpkin in the free carving area. There will be pumpkins for sale, or bring your own to carve.

There will also be a costume contest and many other contests.
