BETHEL — Through a program to be presented by To Your Health of Western Mountains Senior College, participants will learn the 10 warning signs that may indicate whether someone has Alzheimer’s disease or one of the related dementias.

Titled, “Know the Ten Signs of Alzheimer’s,” the program will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Bethel Congregational Church.

The program is open to the public and admission is free. Light refreshments will be available.

Mark Pechenik, director of community outreach and engagement, Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, will present the program. He will answer any questions about this topic and will have handouts available.

A follow-up program titled, “The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease,” has been scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 6, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
