AUBURN — Brunswick Humorist Brian Daniels, author of “Thoughts of an Average Joe,” will appear at the Auburn Public Library at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, for an evening of humorous rants.
Daniels has created the character of Joe Wright, who has lots to say about nearly everything.
The fictional Joe Wright rants, raves and muses on all the subjects that beset middle-aged (and older) white guys — from cell phones, tweets and loud music to outhouses, women and politics. The fictional Wright hails from Smalltown, a quintessential northern New England hamlet, and struggles to understand and embrace the ways of the modern world.
“Thoughts of an Average Joe” is a hilarious collection of 88 previously published essays from Daniels’s popular newspaper column.
