HARMONY (AP) — Police are investigating a reported home invasion in Harmony in which the homeowner stabbed one of three intruders, who then fled the scene.

The Somerset County Sheriff’s Department says deputies responded to a call around 11 p.m. Monday from a homeowner who said that three people had entered his house in an attempt to steal property.

The homeowner, whose name was not released, stabbed one of the assailants. He said it was in self-defense.

Chief Deputy Dale Lancaster told the Morning Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1pbuzx6 ) the homeowner knew one of the intruders.

The man who was stabbed went to the hospital and police know who he is, but have not made an arrest. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

Police are still trying to locate the other two suspects.
