WALES – Oak Hill High School has registered for Celebrate My Drive, a driver safety awareness campaign and competition for a share in millions of dollars in grant awards and maybe even one of two private concerts by Grammy nominees, The Band Perry.
As part of the program, State Farm agent Lisa Laliberte is working with students to raise the awareness of the need for teen driver safety education. “Celebrate My Drive is all about keeping teens safe on the road. It’s important for the entire community to rally around our new drivers and support them by making our own safe driving commitments,” Laliberte said. “Let’s bring the concert and $100K to Wales.”
Laliberte assisted Lewiston High School students last year, and they were one of the $25,000 winners. The school has used the funds for teen driver programs and other activities.
Oak Hill hosted a Celebrate My Drive kick-off at the school to encourage students to make a written commitment to safe driving. Commitments for anyone 14 years and older can be made on behalf of Oak Hill from Oct.15-24 during National Teen Driver Safety Week by visiting www.celebratemydrive.com
