AUBURN — On Friday, Oct. 24, The Rock House Teen Center, a nonprofit youth ministry in Oxford, will have a fundraising event called The Blacksmiths & Friends Benefit Concert at the East Auburn Baptist Church, 560 Park Ave., to help raise the $7,500 that is needed to pay for a new drilled well and new heating system for the teen center.

Half the building has been without heat since midway through last winter when the heating unit stopped working. Also, around the same time they started experiencing problems with their well. They are hoping that this event can help raise a good portion of the money needed to correct these problems.

The concert is free admission but a love offering and donations are requested.

The concert features some of Maine’s best musicians and artists. The lineup includes The Blacksmiths who, in their 24 years as a band, have performed at the White House and at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

Also appearing that night will be Lisa Gallant Seal, Broken 51, New Wine and Channels of Blessings. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
