I have known Mark Cayer for several years as president of the Lewiston City Council. He is a thoughtful person and is prepared to ask the tough questions and strives dutifully to do what is in the best interest of taxpayers.

He has gained firsthand experience with 20 years in law enforcement, six years as city councilor, and also serves on several boards and committees. He has seen the adverse impact of balancing the state budget at the expense of local taxpayers. He is pro-business and will advocate for an educated and well-trained workforce. He will focus his attention on property tax relief, health care and economic development.

I have every reason to expect that he will represent his constituents with integrity, honesty and enthusiasm, focusing on what is in the best interest of the people of Maine and House District 61.
