Game night in Dixfield Nov. 1

DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will hold the second annual “So You Think You Know Dixfield” game night from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Dixfield Congregational Church annex on High Street.

No team will be eliminated; the team with the most points after three rounds and some “throw out” questions will be the champion this year. Jon Holmes will be the emcee again this year.

Tickets are for sale for $10. The ticket will include a free beverage and dessert. Tickets will be available at the door, or in advance by sending a check to The Dixfield Congregational Church, PO Box 615, Dixfield, Maine by Oct. 30.

Christmas fair in Mexico Nov. 1

MEXICO — Plans are underway for the annual Christmas fair at the Mexico Congregational Church, UCC (the “Green Church”).

The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Morning coffee and muffins will be served by Pastor Izzie Radford-Nash and Jo Ellen Winslow. The raffle table, which is chaired by Shirley Fifield, includes a hand-braided woolen rug and cash prize, as well as a “Chinese auction.”

There will be a bake sale and handmade crafts and gifts. Attic Treasures will be for sale in the upstairs conference room and on the lawn.

A luncheon will be served by Peggy Cannon, Esther Cooper and Bev Cantin at 11:30 a.m., which will include chili, hot soups, sandwiches and dessert.

Memorial Mass at Holy Savior Nov. 2

RUMFORD — The Sons of Italy will have a Memorial Mass for all of their deceased members at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Holy Savior Parish, 126 Maine Ave.
