Maine Poet Laureate Wesley McNair shares stories about his family roots and history to a large crowd at the Rumford Public Library on Thursday evening. McNair, a nationally recognized distinguished poet and writer, was to also read from his newly released book of poetry, “The Lost Child: Ozark Poems.” The poems tell stories about his mother, who was born and raised in the Ozark mountains of Missouri, and her people. Library employee Ginny Todd said Thursday night was McNair’s debut at the Rumford library.
