1948 – 2014

LEWISTON—Linda Kondas, 66, a resident of Jay, died Friday, Oct. 24, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, following a long-term illness.

She was born Oct. 22, 1948, in Machias, the daughter of Fred Davis and Laura (Helms) Davis. She attended Livermore Falls High School, and later received her GED through Jay High School.

On Jan. 30, 1965, in Farmington, she married Michael Kondas of Jay. She was married to Mike for nearly 50 beautiful years.

Linda had worked at Foster Manufacturing in Wilton; and International and Verso Paper Companies in Jay, retiring due to her health.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling around the United States with her husband and especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Kondas of Jay; her daughter, Melissa Owusu and her husband, Charles, of Reston, Va.; three grandchildren, Gino and Zackary Warner of Reston, Va., and Chad Warner of Scarborough.

She was predeceased by her son, Michael R. Kondas Jr. on March 28.

She had many family and friends that loved and cared for her. She will be sadly missed by all.
