The newly-formed Fourth of July committee is looking for more members, as well as ideas for what people would like to see when the event returns for 2015 at Hosmer Field.
The committee, now serving under the Parks Department, met recently to start the process to bring back an event that was cancelled this past July after the old committee disbanded.
“It’s hard to put on a show with just six people,” noted committee member Dan Richard, adding, “This is for the River Valley, not just Rumford.”
The committee will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Rumford Parks Dept.
