AUBURN — Spencer Emerson, 20, of Lewiston, pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges that he caused a death on the road while his driver’s license was revoked.
He appeared in Androscoggin County Superior Court before Justice William Stokes. The proceeding lasted a couple of minutes.
In July 2013, Emerson’s Volvo and another vehicle collided head-on on Route 196 near Gridiron Restaurant and Sports Pub in Lewiston.
A passenger in the other car, 80-year-old Charlene McKeen of Sabattus, was killed in the crash.
