LEWISTON — The Franco Center will host a Halloween party for youth ages 15 to 20 from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday, Oct. 31. The event is for young people from all area high schools and also recent graduates who have not reached their 21st birthday.

All guests are welcome, but not required, to come in costume. There will be a costume contest with prizes. There will be music, dancing and ghoulish lighting. Food will be provided throughout the evening.

Party-goers will be able to watch horror movies in the Performance Hall and slither downstairs for some nonalcoholic specialty drinks and other nonalcoholic beverages. To satisfy those “zombie” appetites there will be ghastly finger foods.

The chemical-free event will be loaded with tricks and treats will be the “it” scene on Halloween night.

As part of the new 15/20 Club Series at the Franco Center, area youth are invited to mix with others 15 to 20 years old. The event is alcohol- and smoke-free, and a valid ID is required for admission. Franco Center staff and board members will serve as adult chaperones.

This is a new program at the center, and young people from all over are encouraged to spread the word and to come out for this inaugural launch. The event is student planned and organized.

Tickets are $10 dollars in advance and will be $15 the day of the event. Contact or visit the box office or purchase on-line at www.francocenter.org. Call 689-2000. Box office hours are noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
