1960 – 2014

LEWISTON — Kevin A. Ritchie, 54, of Lewiston, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 13, at his home.

He was born in Lewiston on June 13, 1960, a son of Floyd and Dorothy (Tardif) Ritchie. He attended Edward Little High School with the Class of 1979. He grew up at the family homestead on East Hardscrabble Road in Auburn, where he and his family enjoyed many years together.

Kevin worked for many years as an electrician in the Ritchie family electrical business.

He was a longtime member of the Andy Valley Sno-Gypsies snowmobile club. He had a passion for snowmobiling, fishing and hunting, especially the hunting trips with his father, brother and other family members. He was an avid New England sports fan and was extremely attached to his 1969 GTO, which he adored dearly.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy and her companion, Michael Lajoie; his daughter, Brittney; his sons, Nicholas, Zachary, Ryan and Eric; his sisters, Pamela and husband, Denis, Carolyn and fiancé, Maurice, and Tania and fiancé, Scott; his brother, Michael and wife, Mary; and several grandchildren. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and by his companion, Faith, whom he loved dearly.

He was predeceased by his father, Floyd; his brother, Kenneth; and his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents, including Alphonsine Hamann.
