PARIS — Fundraising for the Gingerbread House continues this weekend as Friends of the Gingerbread House set up a table at the DECA Fair.

The group will join more than 150 crafters and others at the 40th annual fair from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, 256 Main Street.

The fair is a learning activity for the marketing/DECA students of Oxford Hills Technical School in Paris. Thousands attend the fair each year.

Friends of the Gingerbread House will have an assortment of crafted ornaments, baked goods and treats for people, pets and birds, as well as the popular children’s storybook, “Christmas at the Gingerbread House.”

There will also be several original, signed prints of the Gingerbread House by a well-known New York artist.

Prints of the original watercolor painting by artist, sculptor and conservationist Vito DeVito are being sold to raise money to help fund restoration of the landmark building on Main Street in Norway. The prints are signed, numbered, and titled “Gingerbread House, Norway Landmarks Preservation Society Art Collection.”

The Gingerbread House restoration is a multiyear effort by the Norway Landmarks Preservation Society. The 80- by 20-foot house was built in 1851 by Richard Evans.

There is a $1 admission to the DECA Fair. Those 65 years and older and under 12 are admitted for free. All proceeds benefit DECA students’ conferences and activities.
